Jessica Yaffa has dedicated her professional life to helping individuals, teams, and organizations shift the way they view, talk about, and address relationships. She is a two-time published author, an internationally recognized healthy relationships expert, speaker, and trainer. In addition, she is a Certified Professional Coach by The World Coaching Institute specializing in relationships and building effective communication.
Jessica’s work in the field of mental wellness spans across a 20-year period where she has served in administrative, leadership, direct service, and organizational development capacities. With emphasis on providing mental health services and support, from outpatient and residential treatment programs to hospital systems, group practices and community-based organizations. Jessica’s industry roles have included the hiring, training, and supervising of teams, along with establishing strategic partnerships, identifying and executing plans, expansion of business programs, and client satisfaction. She has traveled the country as a keynote presenter to universities, government agencies, attorneys, treatment centers, mental health professionals, first responders, and hospitals.
After extensive work in the private rehabilitation sector, intervention services, and numerous community initiative programs, Jessica recognized the profound need for prevention, education, and professional training surrounding topics of relationship abuse. With Jessica’s level 1 Imago Training certification and CRAFT Coaching (Community Reinforcement and Family Training) expertise, she developed two separate certification programs of her own. These programs train other professionals to become experts in effective communication techniques, positive communication styles, conflict resolution, boundary setting and building cohesive connection. The success of these certifications is validated by the over 100 organizations seeking instruction, including but not limited to, the United States Military, Balboa Naval Hospital, SHARP Hospital, International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals, Starbuck’s Corporate Headquarters, the NFL, MIT, Michigan State University, UCSB, University of Utah, Service Now, YPO and the National District Attorney’s Association.
Jessica holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from the University of San Diego and is the president of the nonprofit No Silence, No Violence, and former President of the San Diego Domestic Violence Council. Jessica has been featured in several publications including The New York Post, Darling Magazine, Thrive Global, The Washington Post and Outreach Magazine as well as KPBS, NBC, CBS, KUSI, FOX and most recently The Doctors. Her speaking experience is vast and ranges from small group settings to stages where there are 15,000 in the room. Jessica is one of the nation’s leading experts on building and maintaining healthy relationships, as she inspires a movement to create authentic connection and spaces of thriving in both our work and personal endeavors.
